It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new President of the French American Business Council of West Florida. Along with our newly appointed board members, we are excited to embark on this journey together, aiming to further strengthen the bonds between the French and American business communities here in West Florida.

Our Goals for the Year:

1. Enhance Networking Opportunities: We will increase the frequency and variety of networking events, ensuring that members have ample opportunities to connect, share insights, and form valuable partnerships.
2. Expand Professional Development: Our new lineup of workshops, seminars, and training sessions will focus on current trends, industry best practices, and personal development, helping you stay competitive in a rapidly changing market.
3. Strengthen Business Support: We aim to provide more resources to help businesses thrive, including mentorship programs, USF Internship program, business consultancy services, and a robust online resource center.
4. Promote Franco-American Culture: We will celebrate and promote the rich cultural heritage that binds us. Expect more cultural events, culinary experiences, and art exhibitions that highlight the best of French and American traditions.
5. Advocate for Members’ Interests: We will work closely with local and national authorities to advocate for policies and initiatives that benefit our members, ensuring your voice is heard on key issues affecting the business community.

To better serve you, we are excited to introduce several new membership services:

• Member Portal: An online platform where you can access exclusive resources, connect with other members, and stay updated on upcoming events.
• Business Directory: A comprehensive directory of member businesses, providing visibility and fostering connections within our community.
• Member Spotlight: Monthly features highlighting the achievements and stories of our members, showcasing the diversity and talent within FABCWF.
• Discount Programs: Partnerships with local businesses to offer exclusive discounts and benefits to our members.

Upcoming Events

• July Networking Event: Join us to celebrate Bastille Day, on Saturday, July 13th, 2024 from 6-10 pm at Gastronomix, 11928 Seminole Blvd, Largo FL 3377 (link at the end of newsletter).

• Monthly Webinar: Join us August 16th, 2024 from 12 – 1 pm online. Yohan A. Zingile, Immigration attorney with “Center for U.S. Immigration Services”, will discuss the U.S. Immigration Options for French-speaking Professionals and Entrepreneurs.
• November: Beaujolais Nouveau and French Business Forum
• FRAMCO Business Club
